6 Makara Dam is a popular man-made eco-tourism and recreation site in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia. Located 28 km from the provincial town and 13 km from Phnom Santuk, it is situated in Kbal Bei Village, Tipor Commune, Santuk District.Originally built as a hydraulic irrigation system in 1978 during the Pol Pot regime, the dam was fully restored in 2018 by the Royal Government. Today, it serves as a bustling weekend and holiday getaway for local tourists who visit for fresh air, swimming, boat riding, fishing, and dining on local food amidst the scenic canal landscape.
